Practically everyone! A 2015 study conducted by the Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association (HPBA) shows that 75 percent of all U.S. households own a grill or smoker. Of these owners, 45% plan to purchase a new one in the next year. 37% of all U.S. adults plan to purchase a new grill or smoker next year.

The most popular grilling occasions are Fourth of July (76 percent), Labor Day (62 percent), and Memorial Day (62 percent), but an increasing number of grillers report using their grills year-round (61 percent)!

Literally, everywhere across the country including backyards, vacation homes, campsites, public parks, and while tailgating at football games and NASCAR races. Fifty-five percent barbecued for birthday parties, 24 percent on a camping trip, and 14 percent during tailgating activities for sporting events. The increasing popularity of outdoor heaters and chimneys makes it comfortable and convenient to cook out in nearly any climate at any time.
