HPBA's Wintercue campaign kept the winter from putting a chill on barbecuing. Launched to the public early January, featured everything consumers needed to bring out their winter warrior. From winter grilling tips to recipes best for colder temps, Wintercue made it easy for consumers to avoid cabin fever and score points with friends and neighbors who admired their devotion to searing steaks all-year round. HPBA also partnered with a few acclaimed pitmasters to broadcast their winterbarbecuing via Facebook live. Leading up to the Super Bowl, HPBA held a photo sweepstakes where football fanatics had a chance to win some prizes by snapping their best shots huddling around the warmth of a flame. In December, HPBA members received a toolkit to engage potential customers, which included a video to share that featured a pitmaster sporting some fingerless gloves and cozy clothing while enjoying wintercuing.
