THE HPBEXPO BROUGHT THE HEAT TO ORLANDO!

Thousands Attend the Hottest Show in Orlando, Featuring Everything Hearth, Patio and Barbecue

Arlington, VA - (March 23, 2010)  The Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Expo 2010 attracted over 7,000 retailers and exhibitors to the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando March 11 - 13.  The Expo's 345 exhibiting companies showcased the newest trends and innovations in fireplaces, stoves, grills and outdoor living products for consumers this year.

This annual event, that unites manufacturers and dealers in an exciting atmosphere, featured exhibits throughout the halls, indoors and outdoors, including pavilions highlighting the latest in new and green products, first-time exhibitors and a celebratory 30th anniversary History Wall where over 30 members contributed photos and stories.  The HPBExpo celebrated its 30th anniversary at an industry-wide celebration on the show floor.

The popular New Products Pavilion returned in 2010 with 39 exhibits that featured a variety of products to enhance the grilling experience, such as the BBQ Hooker cooking tool and the FireWire flexible grilling skewer.  Hearth lovers found an environmentally-friendly fire grate and dual fuel heaters among other exciting products.

Green-thinking manufacturers exhibited products such as recycled firepit glass and clean burning bio-ethanol-fueled fireplaces and wood-burning stoves that reduce the energy footprint were found in the Green Pavilion.

"This was another great show," said Jack Goldman, HPBA president & CEO.  "The economy is improving and our exhibitors are ready for new consumer spending.  Overall, 1,522 buyers attended HPBExpo 2010, and, I can assure you, they were impressed with the array of products on display this year."

The HPBExpo is owned and managed by the Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association (HPBA), based in Arlington, VA.  HPBA is the North American industry association for manufacturers, retailers, distributors, representatives, service firms and allied associates for all types of hearth, barbecue and patio appliances, fuels and accessories.
